Keeps logging me out today, was on all day yesterday no problems. Login time seems long but probably only 15-30 seconds. No access to digital copies displays 404 – File or directory not found.

Logging fast and reliable to me but like Dennis I also get 404 from https://www.model-engineer.co.uk/digitalaccess

Digital issues come up for me but it is taking 15-20secs from clicking "magazines" for the next screen to come up W10 & Chrome

I've cleared history, cookies, caches etc etc a few times with no change, I did see the padlock a couple of days ago for one session as previously posted but not since., no idea why.

Personal advert's – 'Latest "For Sale" Adverts' listing does not seem to be updating automatically?

Looks like sellers are posting items for sale but the full list can only be accessed by clicking on the "more for sale Ads….." section of the 'Latest "for sale" adverts' on the right-hand side of the page whereas in the past the latest adverts used to appear automatically (after a short interval) at the top of the list visible on the 'first page' of the site.

I can't remember a vast majority wanting to stick with the present option. I do remember that a new version of software was being installed on another forum early last year and that that new version would be installed Spring/Summer last year on this forum. I waited during the year for this installation but nothing appeared, and I had hoped that something might have been installed to improve matters.

There are several good versions of forum software in use around the Internet with much better facilities than this version so it's not as if there aren't tried and tested options available.

What's your broadband speed Bernhard? With this checker, I just got latency = 8mS, Down = 51.0 Mb/s, up 9.2Mb/s

I work from my dining table, and because my wifi signal is only average, I used ethernet over mains plugs until last month. These also caused problems, so I installed a cable direct to the router. Now the internet and this forum have both behaved perfectly – rock solid, fingers crossed. The problem was random interference causing multiple repeat network requests and occasional time-outs – computers and the network going 'eh, what, say again, nope I give in' rather than cleanly exchanging data.

Just tried to log in on the ipad – no joy. Now logged in on PC, but it was very slow, having been almost immediate previously – and there was a tiny pop-up window (bottom left) which said "waiting for Facebook". I have nothing to do with social media of any sort, so was on the point of closing the window, when it logged me in. The purpose of logging in was to see whether MEW issue 317 was available online. Paper one arrived Monday. Checked "Magazines" and there are NO issues at all displayed, just white space.

Hi John, could you let me know what URL you are using to try to access digital issues?

We are currently transitioning from the MyTime media system of displaying digital issues to the Mortons one.

We have updated the links on the site but the logins are not yet working.

I'll keep you up to date as much as i can, but basically you will have to log into the new system with your new customer ID.

When it's working properly I'll be back with proper instructions

And where do I find my new customer ID?

I appreciate your efforts with this transition. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end! Maybe I should just be patient and wait for the instructions.

I've updated the information on the latest MEW (317). I'm trying to gradually spot anything out of date that I can edit myself.

Diane is overseas at the moment, but has been in touch with me regarding ME details being rather out of date. She will be updating them when she returns.
