        Hi

Anyone out there know the dimensions of the belt for a Fobco 7/8 pillar drill?

Mine has completely disintegrated, and all I can find on the web are bespoke ones costig £25-35. I think (but may be completely wrong) that they're in the A50-A55 range. Any advice gratefully received.

        Thanks

For “A” Belts (1/2” width) subtract two-inches from the outside measurement to select the correct V-belt. For example, if the outer measurement is 48-inches and you subtract two inches then A46 is the size..

Nit so easy when the belt is broken.

I would measure the pulley diameters and distance between centres (max and min) – then toddle along to my local belt supplier and they would supply a suitable belt. Mine (ABC), would likely provide me with a choice to try, if marginal, and I would return the unused one.

                  Hi Guys,

My FOBCO uses an A56 belt ! I got mine from Motorsave, about £7.00p a couple of years ago.

Thank you all so much! I signed up very recently, and learned more in a couple of hours from your replies than after a couple of days googling and ringing round stockists etc,.

                    A fascinating website.
