Fly cutters

I have completed the Fly Cutter yesterday and tried it out and it was OK. I also modified the base plate that sits on the cross slide, on which the vertical slide and vice fits on. The modification I did was to make an adjustment screw, then fitted to get the part to be machined to be parallel to the cutter tool. This has made adjustment of the part to be machined, very easy to do, within about 1.5mm, as long as I use a set square to get it set up some where near to being square.

When I can find time to learn how to use the web site program I will post some pictures of what I have done as a novice and every ones help.

Although I am retired I always seam to have plenty of jobs to do, mine and my wife and family.
