      @jasonb

      In the Text Frank says to put a 60deg chamfer into the open end of the 8.5mm hole but none is shown on the drawing.

      He also states a fairly exact 16.2mm for the raised area wher the shaft meets the web, again no dia given on drawing.

      Any comments Glenn?

          Do you know a supplier that will do a short length of EN8 for the crankshaft

            Well spotted that man.

            I bought a foot of 30mm from M-machine as it was cheaper than a foot of 1 1/8" but they will probably do you a shorter length if you ask.

            I've just got to upload the last few photos and will then add the descriptions to my thread.

                Mike, if you have not got the HE15 for the conrod yet they also sell that by the inch.

                  Jason,

                  I finally looked at that M-Machine link – thanks for pointing me that way.

                    They have a good range and I've never had problems with them. They don't have full web shopping but I e-mail a list of what I want and ask them to phone for card details once the order is made up, which they do.
