      Electronic Control Board

I'm having problems comming to grips with the electronics, as I feel some of the hole numbering are conflicting.

      16 pin socket – 31:14, 31:7 & 27:7, 27:7 should this read 32:14. 32:7 & 27:14, 27:7?

      Resistor 10K – 17:6, 17:10 – 17:10 is also the same as a link at 17:10?

      Capacitor 0.01 – 16:6, 16:8 is also the same as a link at 16:8?

To cut track at 8:11 is also the same as link 8:11 does one cut the track at each side of the hole?

I would appreciate if anyone can advise me how I should proceed???

      Regards

      Martin

          Hi Martin,

I'll see if I can find the relevant issue. Be aware that an error was spotted and a correction published in postbag a several issues later. I think the microswitch was wrongly wired in the original.

              Hi Martin

I had a bit of spare time today so i drew the board up for you i moved a few components to tidy the board up and to avoid the clashes with the hole numbering, if the posted images are not clear enough i can email a pdf of the images which is clearer

              Regards

              Dazz

images are out of order grrrrr

Bottom one simply shows component placement

Second image is with the connections labled

First image is looking at the bottom of the board where you need to cut tracks

Third image is as if you were looking through the board from the top

This circuit was drawn from the articles doiwnloaded from this site (pdf 12) so may need tweaking if its been updated in a later edition

                Regards

                Dazz

I can't do better than Dazz's diagrams, but I will still see if I can find the correction.

                    Hi Neal,

                    after downloading the pdf file12

I see the circuit shows the microswitch common terminal connected to +5V

instead of the 4528 input pin 11 (as shown the switch will short circuit the 5V supply)

                    another correction I'd make would be to connecting pins 8 , 9 12 & 13 of the 4011

to either 0V or +5V as the inputs of the unused Nand gates should not be left "floating" at an undefind logic level

                    John

                      Dazz,

I have sent you a PE with my email address, if you would be so kind as to send me the pdf with the above images?

                      Thanks and regards

                          Hi Dazz

I've made two changes to you diagrams

first change to break the connection to the 4011 pin 10 (the output of a unused nand gate)

the second change is to connect the cathode of the two SBYV 27 -200 diodes to the positive

side of the circuit so they don't short circuit the 5V supply

                          John

i was looking at it and missed that one with the diodes many thanks for the correction
