Faulty Myford 254 Saddle-lock

Anyone here familiar with the Myford 254 Saddle-lock ? Mine isn't locking as well as it should…

Remove the locking bolt and check the thread, it may have a stretched thread or could be stripped/worn.

Thanks. Does that involve stripping-down the saddle, or can I get at it from outside ?

The bolt is located on the saddle, it's the actual bolt that locks the saddle, you can remove it completely to examine the thread, if it looks ok then you may have to remove the apron to check the locking device that the bolt locates, I'm not sure about this but it may be a cam.
