Errors in Matthew Murray Locomotive article

In Anthony Mount’s Matthew Murray article in issue 4377 there are several missing dimensions and an error. These involve parts 56 and 57 on pages 554 and 555.

 

On part 56 the width dimension arrowheads on the right view are present but no dimension is noted.

 

On part 57 on the lower view the fork slot and overall fork width are BOTH noted as 2.5. I imagine the overall dim should be 5.5 or 6 depending on mating pin dimensions. Also on part 57 no dimensions are given for the offset part of the rods. At least the inside offset distance, and centres, and radii will be needed to ensure the part clears the axles when made. The outer profile is less critical but should have some guideline dimensions also.

Hi There

Part 56 width is 6mm.

Fork should be 5.5mm wide on 57.

No dimensions on original for cutout on part 57.
