I got a quick preview tour of the Ruskin Glass Centre in Stourbridge, a little museum opening on 1 October today (we had a Waterway Partnership meeting there).

Awesome video of one of ten clay pots around a glass furnace being broken out and removed (while apparently white hot) and replaced by a new one (red hot) which is then walled in with refactory brick. All the while with the (turned down for the weekend!!!) furnace roaring in the background.
