Since I am not expecting to build a Stepperhead, or to go CNC, very little, or no, time is spent reading the articles. However, other articles, whether making devices, or refurbishing machines and the like do contain items of interest, and the info can be filed, literally, or mentally, for future use.
One day, these things do come in handy, as a means of solving an immediate problem, or , directly or tangentially.
You will never please all the people all the time, and if the content departs too far from your interest, it makes sense to leave, albeit reluctantly. The same will go for our magazines. Not being a loco builder, no M.E. sub; and E.I.M sometimes gets close to the cliff edge!
There is a VAST amount of experience and expertise in various fields, displayed in the magazines, and on these forum threads, which I enjoy, and from which I learn.
So take the rough with the smooth, and benefit!
