      Morning everybody,

Prior to starting some screwcutting yesterday I noticed that the leadscrew of the above lathe, which I have not had for very long, had what I thought was excessive end float.
Does anybody know what the min and max leadscrew end float should be on the ML7-R-B.
(It has the Myford gearbox fitted.)

Thanks for the info about the thrust bearing kit Gray.

Got straight on to Kirk at Hemingway and ordered the kit (£26.60).

Should have it by the weekend.

I have fitted these needle roller thrust bearings to both my Super 7s, adjust for minmum end float without binding. They work (and continue to work) very nicely. You can forget end float. Do not forget to dowel pin the bracket if not already done. This keeps it nice and square.

Thanks for your help folks, the kit arrived yesterday (very good service from Hemingway)

Hopefully do the mod next week.
