Operating Manuals rarely explain how to use lathes, instead concentrating on the layout of the controls, change gears, accessories, circuit diagram and maintenance info. 'What Is' rather than 'How To'.
Many 'How To' books available that apply more-or-less to all lathes: my favourite is LH Sparey – The Amateur's Lathe. Sparey's main fault is he wrote in 1950 and doesn't cover later developments such as carbide inserts. However, assuming it's how to use a lathe is what's wanted, Sparey should get you going.
Your EMCO is conventional and well labelled. Shouldn't be difficult to suss out how it works: if you can't find a Manual, the forum or Emco.io should be able to answer specific questions.
