My apologies to anyone trying to email me at the moment.

Due to the unfathomable vagaries of Microsoft's security protocols I am currently unable to access my email. Morton's IT gurus are working on it..

Emails are not going astray, I just can't see them or even access old ones!

Please keep sending letters, photos, articles etc. I will respond as soon as I am able.

      Thanks for your patience.

      Neil

I had a similar problem this weekend from Friday morning till Sunday afternoon late. I could send emails but incoming were in limbo. Plusnet said it was a Microsoft upgrade problem which Included Outlook. It came back whist talking to a support worker at Plusnet for the third time in two days.

Microsoft is implementing OAuth2 all over and there are plenty of complaints in other places about email failure particularly if a non MS email client is used. (Imagine what the hardy band of Eudora users are going through!)

            You are not alone.

I've just had a boarding pass for Aug 22 delivered into my email. Either it's an old one that's just popped out of the system due to these issues or it's a scam. I know that pdf files can carry macros and act as a vector for a virus.

Probably open it on an old pad that is no longer used just for the sake of curiosity.

Bit early in the thread to go that far off-topic isn't it?

                    David,

I have just had some exchanges with Neil relating to an article offering I sent earlier this week so it looks as thought the contact problem is resolved

Software Security code writers don't live in a real world. How are we meant to remember multiple passwords, some with special characters, some without, change them every year etc etc.

The latest one I had was when I changed my phone and computer to more up to date devices. Same e-mails, same mobile number, same password , but it locked me out. One site was so "tight" that I had to open a new account with a different e-mail.

Now NATIONWIDE BS won't accept me to switch accounts as our official address does not have a road name and hence no house number – although in the past, they sent me statements, Notices of AGMs etc by post.

                      Its been a bad day!

Neil, I have sent you Emails on August 29th, and 5th November and have no reply to either as yet.

                        Cheers, Dek.

I have the same problem with some banks/companies…..

Our postal address according to Royal Mail is – House Name, Village, Town, Post Code. (Which is correct)

So I enter the House name as the House Name, then under Street I enter the Village name, then under Town/City the Town name ….. This usually works where you have to enter a Street
