Drawing board covering material

I need to get some of that (usually) light green plastic sheet that is traditionally placed on wooden drawing boards. Unfortunately I have no idea of what its called or even made of.

Does any one know its trade-name or what it actually is ? Perhaps there is a modern equivalent ?

Thanks Martin, you got me on the right track. JR Bourne didn’t have any in stock but I found another source.

Did you find the pale green you were after? I still use a pale green background for CAD.

Hi Martin, yes I did as you can see below!

Its the traditional material that we all remember in the 70’s, still made in Denmark distributed by a company in the USA. Took a while to be delivered and cost too much, but why spoil the ship, etc.

It can be used on the reverse side, they say. This is a creamy colour and with a sheen. I’m not sure I can ever remember a draftsman using it this way and it just doesn’t look right on a drawing board.  Maybe ok on your cad screen though 🙂
