Dore Westbury Milling Machine

Can anyone tell me what bearings were specified for the "Dore-Westbury" milling machine please? Mine has had a hard life, and would be improoved by fitting new ones. Thanks.

Spindle bearings originally specified are

angular contact ball bearings, 1" ID x 2¼" OD, on both Mk 1 and Mk 2 machines.

I think the bearings on mine were two angular contact bearings, one at each end of the quill but I changed them to a pair of tapered roller bearings, I think I have a pair of new originals kicking about if I come across them when I start unpacking the tools I'll let you know the sizes. These were readily available in both angular contact and tapered roller.

Thanks for the feedback gents. I thought it would be more complex, with identification numbers and such. By the way, I do know how to spell "improved"; finger trouble! Thanks again.
