Google displays two Model Engineering Shows at Doncaster Racecourse, for May 2020; each, apparently promoted by different ticket companies.

The first states Friday 8th May to Sunday 10th May.

The second is to run Monday 11th May to Wednesday 13th May

      Which do we believe?

Is this a result of the "new" Bank Holiday for 75th Anniversary of VE Day< and the one set of dates should be ignored?

None of us would want to have a wasted journey!

      Can anyone clarify please?

Two different dates, following each other

If it helps, I have received an email from Eventbrite, through whom I bought my ticket last year, which states the dates as being May 8th, 9th and 10th.

This the puzzling thing, Eventbrite quote the 8 – 10 days, while Expohour quote 11 – 13 for the Show.

One of them HAS to be wrong!

If we believe the wrong supplier, a lot of us are going to be disappointed when we arrive!

Personally, I'd go by The Website, rather than Google, and I can't imagine it not running over a weekend.

One show I was planning on attending last year (not engineering) was on the net at two different venues – about 70 miles apart. Same show, same dates, just different post codes.

Nobody had noticed until I enquired to the show management as to why.🙂 I doubt it would have gone unnoticed, but international visitors might have been a tad disappointed/upset, had they already made travel plans to the wrong venue.

The official website's ticket sales are 'powered by eventbrite', I think that answers the question?

Seems odd to have two shows with the same name running at the same venue consecutively.

I was certainly planning to go to the eventbrite ticketed Show.

The other is either a scam, or the venue are remiss in allowing a second show with apparantly the same name to be run the following days.

"Wrong dates" almost certainly a scam to clear out ur bank a/c. A lot of scams rely on impulsive action by people who fail to take their time, study and think about what they see.

The other site has confused Google and thereby lots of folks.

I've sent Gavin Rex a link to it.

                            Thanks Neil.

Do not want to have folk arriving for a show that closed the day before.

Expohour appears to provide a summary of trade shows around the world, and has probably calculated the 2020 dates based on the 2019 dates (and messing up by ignoring the fact it's a leap year). I'd definitely go with the information on the show website and Eventbrite.

Is it possible that the second date is for the railway modellers show,as this happened to me a few years back when I turned up it was the railway show

I let Expohour know, and they corrected the dates.
