A long time ago I purchased (from a well known online auction site) what was sold as a 3 1/2" gauge 0-4-0 chassis and drawings (which in the pictures looked like blue prints).

Members who have used online marketplaces will be familiar with the fact that many sellers (but not all) go to absolutely no effort to either check what they were selling or to describe it correctly.

What arrived was a 5" gauge 0-4-0 which did contain some blue prints but also contained some very good original drawings by S.F.H. Or as drawn s.F.h (except the last H whilst small in size was a capital.

The drawings have passed boiler inspection so I will complete the engine… but..

Does anyone know who S.F.H was, or indeed is?

Picture of loco perhaps would help. Might be recognised as having appeared in ME or EIM. Also a few designs have appeared in unexpected places, like Garden Rail magazines.

It is a chassis. I will try to post photos and can post photos of the drawings. However, given the drawings are the originals and the locomotive incomplete I would have thought it an unpublished design.

I am very grateful. Could be the same chap, I'd have to see how he signed his drawings. Be spectacular if it was.
