Many years ago when Buck and Ryan tool shop was in tottenham ct rd I bought a couple of tubs of what was called Boelube from the bargain box.

It was like a soft pink wax, it worked fine as a lube for drilling and tapping ALI.

But does anyone know its real use. From the label it was a Boeing Aircraft Product.

Also a boot sale find was a very chunky scriber marked ECLIPSE 21.

Anyone out there with an old catalogue say if it was just heavy duty or aimed at a particular trade. Will post some pics in albums when I can get it to work.

      Thanks in advance

                fizzy,

Cannot find much info on UK sales outlets.

                Details please.

How is your new-born doing? I and other half are continually being surprised by GD. Last week when visiting I hung my 'manbag' on the top of the lounge door, much to her annoyance, as she knows my iPhone is in it and she is able to operate it without any problem. After failing to reach it, she pondered for a while, then with an "Oh" off she went to her 'toys' corner and hauled out her folding chair and positioning it at the door tried to stand on it, but realised it was too wobbly, being a fabric chair. Well other half & I just stared in utter amazement that a nearly 3 year old would come up with that solution.

Geoff – Today is indoors day.

The scriber, Eclipse 21, also known as 89 mm pocket scriber, the point is held in place by the screw collet, loosen this, take out the point and turn it around, the scriber should have a clip on the other end, as in a pen, in the same way as an Eclipse Automatic Centre Punch has.
