I am having difficulty viewing the digital editions on smaller touch screen devices. Touching the screen causes the magazine to zoom in or out and makes it impossible to pan about the page. It would be very nice if the digital magazine was suitable for reading on an android tablet or an ipad. Is this something that is being considered?

Am right that I cannot read Model Engineer or Model Engineer’s Workshop on my iPad?
Do I also understand that there are no plans to make it possible or does anybody have any ideas on how it may be possible?

              Hi
I posted this in a earlier post about reading MEW on a e-reader

You need “adobe flash player” to be able to read the magazines.

Apple do not allow the use of flash on iphone or ipad (I think that this is still the case). I have just confirmed this on my ipad and iphone.

For the same reason I suspect that most e-readers will not be suitable.
A Netbook running Windows should be OK .. but you would need to check first.

David, your response is somewhat gib, ‘I doubt it’ is not the most helpful response!
Why are the publihers not giving consideration to upcoming technologies.
Many of us are now adopting IPAD or Android. The publishers should be looking at providing suitable apps to accomodate viewing of the digital issues on the various platforms.

                regards

In an earlier thread “Living with digital copies” DC1 said

(08/06/2011 19:22) “We are looking at upgrading the digital quality and putting it on the Ipad as well.”
I hope they will too, most other magazines I subscribe to are on iPad so why not MEW?
                  Regards
                  Neil
