      David,
Speaking as one, and I am sure there are many, who was not in on MEW at the beginning I view the decision to create an accessible archive of back issues as inspired and really most welcome. Paid my dues, followed the instructions, and everything worked first time! Perfect! ………Well almost!
I have to agree with others that there is a problem with Issue 16 (VCAB Expired) and although I have not yet had the chance to go through the whole lot there do seem to be a few bugs with missing pages and pages out of order etc..
Is it possible to correct these? If so perhaps subscribers could help by simply reporting problems as they come accross them (e.g. ppXX-XX missing from issue XX).
The icing on the cake would be an indication of which issues contain indexes or even a seperate index file. This would surely save time and bandwidth for all involved.
      Regards,
      Chris

          Chris,
An index to Model Engineers Workshop has been compiled by Colin Usher, and can be found at http://www.colinusher.info/Indexes/mewindex.html  and because its an excel file, its searchable making life a lot easier.
          Regards,
          Dave

In the absence of anywhere else specific to post this information, I’ll post my first bit here. Hopefully David will indicate whether a better arrangement is possible, although at least if it’s here, people will be able to access it directly, and perhaps spend less time wondering if it’s them or not when they can’t find something.

              So: Issue 4 (April-May 1991)

Several pages are out of order, but most significantly pages 36, 40, 42, 44, 46, 49, 51, 53, 54 and 55 are missing out of the significant ones; they either break articles or miss them out completely. There are also pages of advertising missing as well, but I don’t personally see that as so significant. Also, if it’s possible, a scan of the filing machine plans wouldn’t go amiss.

                  What are you viewing on?

If something with a small screen you won't get many to a page, there should be "1, 2, 3, 4 Next" or similar on the screen which will take you to the next page of mags.
