Now I'm not a loco man but even I can spot that something is amiss in the drawing Fig 25 in issue 4469

        derwent_0001.jpg

The GA in fig 24 gives the axle ctrs as 3.500" but the plan of the frame has one side drawn and dimensioned as 3.250". But the boxes on the other side are not dimensiond but look to have been drawn at 3.500" cts. May be OK if you want to run round and round in circleswink 2

And while I'm at it the text says the ties are threaded 8BA but 7BA on drawing

And another thing why are the screw clearance and threaded grubscrew holes in Fig 25 drawn as hexagonalcrook

Reminds me of the Renault 16 car.

The wheelbase of that was diifferent between sides

… but at least they used independent suspension !!

They are drawn as hexagons because they are too small for the software / printer / VDU to show them as circles.

The pixel size is too big for such a small circle.

What's wrong with the wheels on the bottom axle in photo 34 or is it an optical illusion.

I see odd dimensions have crept in also. The distance between the two struts is given as 1 thou over 3/4" !

Obviously designed for a circular track.
