Demagnetiser

Hi all,

 

A little while ago there was a discussion on demagnetisers.  I’m now in a position to build one but cannot find the thread, despite looking in all the likely areas of the forum.  Perhaps I’ve missed it in my dotage.  Probably a senile moment.

 

Does anyone recollect where it lurks?  The thread that is . 

 

I’ve also discovered another great feature of this forum software, one can only search in the thread titles (unless I’ve missed something) but not the title or body of messages.  Really useful that – it just gets better!

                 I just did a search for the word “demagnetise” and found the thread you are looking for. (How do I demagnetise tools and parts of machines)

In the past I have also had problems finding old threads.

Thanks for that, I used ‘demagnetiser’ to search, should have thought to remove the ‘r’ to search again.  I still think it;s bad form that one cannot search the body text.  It is possible in the ‘Workshop articles’ section of the site, so why not the forums?  Another poor feature of a useful site.
