OK posted about this before but now got timed proof of the process.

Sunday night about 6:00 pm found a bucket in a corner of an old shed that has a leaking roof, more a lean to and nothing of value in there or shouldn't be.

However this bucket contains all my bricking tools which fortunately haven't needed to be used lately.

This was a brace and bit type drill as it came out.

Probably been in there for about 3 years.

Didn't toch it all all, just dropped it into a bucket of brick and patio cleaner diluted 2:1

Don't think the ratio matters that much but I did 2:1 to fill the bucket.

So went in at 6:00 on Sunday and came out 12:00 non yesterday, Monday so 18 hours just sat in a bucket.

This was it when it came out with no extra cleaning.

De-rusted enought that the chuck unscrewed by hand and the ratcket knob needed a slight help with a pair of grips but it all works.

Little trowel is useable but scarred.

So quick process, relatively inexpensive, no electric needed just a plastic bucket of some sort and the waste can safely be washed down a drain as that what it was made for in the firts place.

What made you choose brick and patio cleaner, it doesn't sound intuitive? Well done, though!

          Regards

Used to use this in my diving life to remove concretion (barnacles etc) from recovered artifacts

(not much good on old clay pipes though…)
