Too high tech cutting nowadays, at work i use a rule or tape measure to set fences then cut in to an offcut, check the size and adjust if necessary and check again.

Seems to work every time spot on.

Just as the little darling skoolkids deserve disgust

The increased strength on mitred, rebated or corner mitre over straight butt joint comes from the increased glue line.

          regards Martin

I really think Neil needs to do a router table review for the Mag.

My workshop looks the tidiest it's been for years. Everything is covered in a thick layer of pale brown snow.

Since you're working in dressmaker sizes, it's only 0.7cm out which just means a narrower hem.

              Regards Ian.

I'd go with John Olsen and the West System Epoxy, this is the adhesive recomended by Team NZ (America Cup Yatching) to Glyn Powell for the build of the mosquitos .

When the wood is weaker than the glue, choice of glue is less critical!

Well I sat and stood on it today, so in guess it's OK

                  Now the other half…

Well, I would go for the West System epoxy myself, but I guess having built a 30 foot steam launch with it has given me quite a lot of experience with it.

Yes excellent stuff. Also Loctite 5220 PU adhesive which I used for bonding replacement teak decking to fibreglass on a 43 ft motor cruiser. Usually industrial adhesives are available at half the price of over-advertised commercial products and are better specified.

                    Russell.
