Hello,

I'm new to this forum, I'm Jan I am a godsmith and engraver with a passion for making my one tools. And obssesed with pneumatics

Now for quit a time I searching in the direction of jackhammers, airscribers, airvibrators briefly every machine that vibrates on air.

In this search i discovered some of the systems they use in pneumatics are the same as they use in steam engines etc…

Now my question is do any of you know more about these systems?Or know a good book?

My interest goes specific to systems without a springs for the piston return. Or flywheel etc

What i love is that the piston and cilinder it self fuctions as a valve.

If any of you would know something i'l be verry greatful!

There was a construction artical for a pneumatic hammer type of tool in "Model Engineer", a number of years ago, can't remember when it was, someone else may know. Ian S C
