Clicking on links within forum comments replaces the ME page with the linked page. How can one choose to have the linked page open in a separate window so that one can view both windows simultaneously? I am using Windows10. Thanks

You can try _right_ clicking on the link and often a pop-up window will appear with a number of options. One of those options would be something like ‘open in new tab’. Another would be similar to ‘open in new window’. Some other possibilities include ‘bookmark this link’, ‘copy this link to clipboard’.

The specifics and wording of what is available to you depend on the web browser you are using.

Many web pages are set up so that when the viewer clocks on a link it automatically opens in a new tab or window.  Yes another missed opportunity to make this site better when it was redesiged.

….but it can be annoying for it to open other than in the parent page depending on what you are expecting as the norm. In W11 you can click using the middle or scroll wheel button to get it in another tab. This was helpfully pointed out to me on this forum so now I use it for all sorts of browsing but certainly don’t want it to be automatic on some forums.

Centre-Click to open in new window is a browser function independent of Windows version.

That’s great. Many thanks DC31k, Bazyle and Peter!
