              In a word, no! And I got paid to make the mess. It's not as bad as it looks; the swarf is delrin, so easy to vacuum up. The vacuum only got blocked once, when it ingested a curl of steel swarf, which then traps the delrin. You'd have thought that what with Dyson being an engineer he'd had made sure his vacuum could cope with sensible tasks like cleaning up the workshop.

              Carrots? I should say not, did you see the mess they left? And the bench vice was just as bad. I used a wood saw to cut the 25mm thick delrin sheet into 200mm square blocks. It worked very well.

                You should try turning urethane resin. Comes off in long thin ribbons at very high speed. I can put down a 2" layer over the workshop floor (well, everything) in no time.
