I now have 8.5mm for the 5mm bolt heads, I shall have to turn something down to fit 

Here's the jig…

The VFD is held down by a lump of iron and a towel, but it is located by a 5mm pin coming up from below.
Above it is a virgin Dormer 8.5mm drill bit aimed exactly at the 5mm pin below.
A slow vertical feed on the knee and lots of revs on the bit for a smooth finish.
There was 3mm of plastic behind to cut in to and I took half of it. One VFD done, one to go
