Hi all

My  “Chester Conquest Super Mill”  has been a brilliant bench top mill. Over the years I have put some very heavy work through it,  However the motor has developed a problem ,Having checked fuse, power supply, and motor brushes All ok .On start-up motor will run,  Then any adjustment to speed motor stops and wont start again until a number of hours pass . I deduce that my problem is the potentiometer ,My request is where is the best place to buy one and what is the correct specification for it. The existing one has the following makings “B4K7” I have looked on the Chester web site but only get no items to come up.

The B4k7 means it is 4700 ohms. or 4.7k ohms. This is an extremely common value for potentiometers, really really standard part. Just find one on ebay that looks the same size.
Google “4k7 potentiometer”.
