Change of direct debit for MEW?

Hi guys,

I just received an email saying that MEW has changed hands from My Time Media to Mortons Media Group and my direct debit will be transferred, or words to that effect. Is this legit?

Me too, Ed. The was discussion a while back about changing ownership, and the email says we don't need to do anthing, except note a change in customer reference number. The source of the email looks legitimate.

Me too, as expected.

MEW317 and ME4693 arrived together through my letterbox a few minutes ago, so no interruption to magazines.

Serious complaint: with one exception all the men on the front covers have more hair than me, and no pot bellies! Surely my bay-window physique and extra-wide centre parting is more typical of model engineers than the handsome hunks pictured…

Ok, thank you chaps. I tend to be overly cautious these days with all the scams going on. I did have a quick scan of the recent posts on this forum, thinking there may have been heads up from MTM about the change over, maybe there was and I missed it. Tbh I haven't been that active here of late.

Further to this if I wanted pictures of men I would buy a different kind of magazine. The glossy front cover picture is valuable real estate for a detailed photo of one of the machines/models relating to the content or at least our hobby. The current MEW cover is particularly wasted opportunity. If this issue is on the newsagent shelves can anyone really think it will help sales?

This is 100% legitimate.

Mortons are just fulfilling their obligation to inform you of the change.

I did announce the change of publisher in Eds Bench recently, their details are in the panel next to it.

I have just tried to access my digital subscription and I just get referred to a new Mortons web page where it asks for my email address and customer ID however it does not recognise my credentials. Anyone else having this issue?

Follow this thread for updates from Darren H, you need a new 6 digit subs number which will you will be notified about or you can contact Mortons to get it as your subs are close to needing renewal.
