      G day all,
I have picked up my latest copy of the MEW at the newsagents and spotted a change. Previous magazines were identified by Issue no and Month.

My new issue No. 156 has Autumn 2009 on it.

Have I missed something somewhere or are you going to the  yank style of marking magazines.

Other than that, there are a load of great articles?

      Thanks
      Grahame

          Hi There
We have 13 issues a year.
There are only 12 months in the year so we have to call it something.
          Autumn 2009 was the result.
          regards David

              Hi There
If we did it as Christmas, it is out of date to soon.
              regards David

A solution for all the pedantic people out there and to recognise that our Australian cousins revolve around the universe upside down, why not have the 1st 12 issues marked as their respective month and last one (13th) being the Christmas edition. That is the month when 2 editions will be issued in a lunar cycle.

Happy Xmas to all and a constructive New Year in all your workshops.

PS just noticed after posting this that David beat me to a reply by a matter of a few minutes.

As a reader who receives his Mew issues from the newagent  2 months after you blokes read yours  I have to say I was alarmed at the thought I might have missed an issue or two.
Having obtained my issues on the basis of buying them when I saw them on the news stand ,I now have changed and placed a permanent order for one each month ,so as not to miss out.

I am hoping to glean tips on Digital Read Outs, as  I have never used one.

I am teaching VOC ED studies Engineering in 2010 in a new workshop and amongst other  heavy machinery goodies there is a large Hafco Bv50 E mill which has an Eaton DRO that I have not found instructions for.

It would be great if MEW has done an article about DRO’s ,or is about to do one.
I am a Metalfabricator Boilermaker by trade and have had no exposure to Digital read outs. I  have used a smaller mill of the same type (but sans DRO ) at my old school .I am keen to pick up what I can before school starts around the last week in January.

                  To all
                  A Happy New Year
