      Hi,

Is it just me or is there a problem with the site. I have just tried to add some photos to my album but when I click "Edit Photos" I just get this message:

      Page Not Found

The page you requested cannot be found.

Click here to go to the homepage

      Any ideas?

      Russell.

            Thanks Jason,

            That was quick!

Just discovered that if I go to by album by clicking on the link in one of my posts I get the above error.

On the other hand if I go to it via the link in the "My Account" box it works. Definately a problem with the site.

            Russell.

              .

It certainly looks that way Russell

First two links take you to the error page; third one seems to work; haven't tried the fourth.

I would suspect that going via "my account" checks that it is the owner of that album doing the editing and that is why you can access it that way.

Then why does the other link exist?

                  Russell.

Possibly, but why does the other link exist?

I just logged in as you and was able to add a photo. How large is the file?

EDIT looks like you have now been able to add the four mill engine photos.

Umm, just a suggestion, but that's what happens if the file isn't a jpg. They're suffixed JPG or JPEG, but the site also checks inside to ensure the image is in valid JPG format. So tricks like renaming 'dave.bmp' to 'dave.jpg' don't work. The file has to be valid JPG.

Another possibility is the image is valid JPG but huge – a high resolution photograph rather than an internet thumbnail. On upload the site automatically resizes giant JPGs down to internet dimensions (1024×720 or less), but I used to have bother with the conversion taking so long that the connection timed out. Three cures, all used by me:

                          • Set the camera so photos taken for internet publication are 1024×720
                          • Resize the image with GIMP, Photoshop or similar before uploading it
                          • Buy a faster Internet package. (Rarely have upload trouble now I have a 50Mbs link!)

                          Dave

It has put them on the second page of your albums rather than the first so may need to look there
