      Hello all.

On the “old” forum, one could check your sent messages in the “outbox”, The updated forum software doesn’t appear to have an “outbox”, or at least I cannot find it! Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I just want to check that a message I thought I had sent, has actually gone.

      Andrew.

Andrew probably wants the ‘Sent’ page, click the button ringed in red, after selecting ‘Messages’ on the green top bar.

The forum doesn’t actually send anything.  Instead, it increments a counter on the recipients  Message button, which they have to notice and investigate. And they have to be logged in too.

Members can opt to have the forum send them an email whenever a message is received.  It’s in Profile->Settings:

            email

N.B. it shows slightly different to the old forum, where you could tell if the recipient had read the message.
In this forum read/unread is an action for you, not an indicator of the recipient’s actions.
If you change the status of one of your own sent messages, it then adds or removes a number from the “Messages” header in the green bar.
