Can a Wiggler be Used Horizontally?

If you are using a wiggler to line up the axis of one part (which can be rotated) with marks etc on another part then the orientation does not matter. It can be dome with the point upwards, downwards, or sideways, or any angle in between.

This answer is based on my experience – exactly how you define 'definitive' is not clear, but I hope it helps.

Huffam explicitly say that their version of the wiggler can be used both horizontally and vertically.

Indeed the instruction leaflet shows it in horizontal orientation. But that is probably because it gives a better print and figure layout.

However the Huffam is rather better engineered and better behaved than the common £5 or £10 set.
