      Hello,
I need a few (8x) bronze brackets for a wooden boat project:
      – length 16 cm approx (10 cm on one side, 6 cm on the other side)
      – width 3cm or 1 1/4'' approx
      – thickness 3 mm or 1/8'' approx
      – angle 105 degrees

I am struggling to find a bronze flat bar of adequate size from which to cut and bend the brackets, at a reasonable price. Does anybody have suggestions?
Many thanks in advance, and kind regards,
      Matteo

Try M Machine metals. I use them all the time.      https://www.m-machine-metals.co.uk/links.html

3mm or 10swg Sheet would be a lot easier to source, cut to 30mm wide and then bend

M-Machine as mentioned above are good to deal with and have the sheet. They should be able to supply a piece 160 x 300 but will cost about £50 plus postage.

Careful what you buy – some brass/bronze is very “short” ie: it cracks when you put a tight bend on it.

The PB102 that M-Machine list has “excellent cold forming properties”

Had you considered stainless steel ? It may be available as an angle section ,or much easier to find in 3mm and get bent to your requirements. Also much cheaper. Noel.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I have enquired with M-Machine for both a PB102 and an Aluminum bronze plate (I don’t want to go stainless as that would look ugly on my wooden boat).
