I've had "The Complete Handbook of Sand Casting" for many years and there are a couple in the 'workshop practice series' The Backyard Foundry and Foundrywork for the Amateur.

I don't know if it's still available from Model Engineer publishers but there used to be a book called "Foundrywork for the Amateur" by B.Terry Aspin.

Another one by B. Terry Aspin is "The Backyard Foundry". I also have a little book called "Pattern Making" by T. Spedding, it's a book published by Percival Marshall. No date, probably in the 1930s, could be older.

Huge run of articles in ME, early ’60’s, main title was “For the Schools” with subtitle Pattern making.

                  B. Terry Aspin also did ME articles on patternmaking and moulding.

Much of those ME articles went into the books.

Last count I have 29 casting books and not counting the two Aspin ones.

laughHow about a review of them John. Save people wasting their money buying poor ones.

I would say that the most useful casting video's on youtube are by Myfordboy. All most all on aluminium and some brass of late. Odd bits and pieces on temperature measurement and other things that may be needed. I've never seen much info at all on cast iron but that would probably be most easily done in a charcoal furnace with a blower.

Sorry got far more important things to do, in any case many of these are out of print books that would be hard to find anyway.
