Boilers and their construction??

Hi All I'm new here and fairly new to the concept of steam, I'm a time served fabricator welder since 2012 and work as a agricultural engineer currently but have previously worked in various other fields of engineering.

My question is…

Is anyone aware of what certifications are required to build a boiler and have it certified? Such as a specific coding to build a boiler such as a 3" scale traction engine and be able to use it, providing it passed inspection?

I suggest contacting whoever is going to insure it and see what they say.

You can get your welds non destructive tested and that means you don't need to be a coded welder, have a look at this thread where it was done by someone else though he was a welder in the nuclear industry before retiring .
