blow hol in brass casting

Can anyone help and advice on how best way i can fill a blow hole in a brass casting i made for my alchine steam engine

Depends where it is, if just on a cast surface that will be painted JBweld or car body filler. At the other extreme if it is in the cylinder wall drill it out and silver solder in some brass rod turned from the same material. Though small holes can also be cured with JBW

Just to add, if it’s a surface you want left bright, try mixing brass filings with clear epoxy as a filler. Use the minimum of epoxy.

Hey Joe, depends where the hole is ? If it’s just for looks then filler, if a machined face then it depends how big. Fill with braze, drill, plug and silver solder or if really bad , recast ? Do you know why you have a blow hole ? Noel.

hello every one.

Did as suggested put a slot drill down and milled a 16mm dia hole and plugged with same brass and SSoldered.

not sure why blow hole wonder if i poured to fast.
