Have had a wee think ,I had a look at the price of stainless steel and i'd rather someone who can make good use of it rather than me wasting it ,i wonder if anyone was up for a bit of a barter with the stainless steel rod .
I'm just starting out in this turning lark and i think this material is a bit too specialised for my mediocre skill level.
Biggest bar is 70mm and 200mm long
there's a bar at 50mmx430mm
And a a stepped turned shaft 55mm at the widest down to 35mm by 530mm long
Things i'd consider bartering
i need a live center mt2
CNMG 432 insert holder up to 20mm
Steady rest
Quick change tool post and tool holders
A nice dial gauge with mag mount tripod (not sure what you call them)
Micrometer
Tailstock chuck
Some nice brass or copper .
As you can see i truly am just starting out ,and these suggestions are just an idea …. and you folks can tell me to take a run and jump for asking in the first place . If you don't ask you don't get …..lol
