folks – I am soon to own a Myford Super 7 and wish to ready my bench and a steel plate for underneath the lathe. To do that , I need the center to center measurements for the bolt holes in the feet. I cannot find that measure anywhere.

Would someone be so kind as to measure and provide.

      thx much

      Dave

          Hi Dave

          Standard bed – 22 1/2 " centres

          Long bed – 31 1/4 " centres longitudinally.

          The transverse measurement is:-

          c/l of spindle to rear =2 1/16 "

          c/l of spindle to front= 2 9/16 "

Source = Myford S7 lathe manual.

Good luck – I hope that you enjoy your S7 as much as I enjoy mine!

          Regards

          Norman

I have just checked a manual and the standard bed was 22 1/4 inches, all other dimensions agree with Norman. For the sake of waiting to drill a couple of holes I think I would measure the lathe when you get it.

              Dave ( and Mike)

              My apologies.

In the light of Mike's reply I rechecked my manual – 22 1/4 in. it is!

                David,

You can find all the info you want in both tabular and drawing forms by going to G&M Tools web page — makers — myford — info (specs).**LINK**

                Trevor.
