Both have cast from my wood, metal and plastic patterns and also 3D printed ones by others from my CAD files. Mostly by Graydon and I have been machining some of theirs over the last couple of weeks. Graydon will cast from patterns posted to them and send the castings so location is not such an issue.

Not used these but another option to try if that is your part of the world  https://eastcoastcasting.biz/services/

I guess it depends where you live.
Leander castings are just north of Buxton Derbyshire.
I’ve never used them, but did go on a foundry tour a few years ago

I have had a few castings made and am in he process of having a handwheel casting made. I use Sutton castings local to me  https://www.suttoncastings.co.uk/     not far from Mansfield and Greenbank Patterns Kirkby in Ashfield to make the patterns. the most expensive part is the pattern which if you could make your own reduces the price dramatically.

Looks like a superb finish on those patterns. Plastic? 3D print? I don’t see any draft angle.

Photo of the casting seems to show draft better than the one of the patterns. With most foundrys now using some form of airset sand you don’t need much angle I/ve been using 2deg for the patterns I’ve been doing the last couple of years

                    draft

                    2deg draft on these patterns

                    Casting came out OK

The patterns for the fixed steady were CNC cut by Greenbank patterns from a drawing from the files section which looked like an original drawing. They were cut in a resin plastic block.

@Jason/David: Could you give a rough price for those parts (assuming you supply the patterns)?

Bridport Foundry is another bet: they make the Stuart engine castings.
