I dont see any problem for the dial indicator as probably only a very small part of the whole tool is heated.
Its looks a beautifully made tool (typically Swiss), but you have to admire watchmakers of the past who achieved the same sort of accuracy with purely hand tools mostly made with their own hands.

Since I sent this reply I looked at the instruction leaflet so I see the whole thing is placed on a heated table. Its not clear from the instructions but I assume that not everything gets hot, it certainly would not be fun turning the adjustment knob if that was at 130C!
