Hi all. New to the forum.

Thought I would start with some quiz photos smiley

Does anyone know what this sander is. It has FL on it? I want to find out the make in case I can still source parts etc. It weighs a lot and likely pre-dates me (~70s)

Also does anyone know if anyone can still service very old DRO's Newell Digipac II, one is fine but one has running display. I seem to recall from my earlier days this was fixable?? Also I have x3 spherosyn scales – can these be fixed? Is it worth it?

Finally a pic of my main project – full service of my 68 Bridgeport. Now well under way. Hi again.

Looking at the Newall, looks like some dampness has been working. All my machines are Newall, Them and Hiedenhain are the bees knees. The Newall's are designed to be robust and can take a lot of what would kill  other makes. Really would be best to check with Newall themselves. They will give you the correct answer.

FL? Its a Linisher and usually very simple in construction. Try contacting Tony at tony@lathes.co.uk , send him a picture as well.

You transported your Bpt with the head up, better in invert completely to lower centre of gravity.

A friend had a defunct DIGIPAC, turned out to be a dead battery, cannot recall what type.

Thats great thanks. Took a chance with transport, thankfully went ok. Newell said way too old to look at. Would rather fix though if possible. Will take a look for batteries. Thanks. Oh and linisher. I’ll do some more research on that term. Thanks again.
