      Hi All,

Need some help please… still very new to the milling/lathe world and trying to get my new/used old lathe and mill up and running.

I have a missing gear on the back of the speed dial, would anyone know what gear i will need to replace the missing one. If not any help on how to measure what gear I woudl need, and best place to get a new gear from?

Do you have a manual for the machine?

There is an exploded diagram of the variable speed head therein.

            The gear is part number 101 P1326. 32DP, 10t

Hi, so got that gear but dosn't fit…. bore size was to small. What i need is = 3/16" bore 32DP 10T gear. For love and money can't find any on the internet. Any ideas anyone on where i can buy this small gear?

                    Antony.

HPC gears of Chesterfield sell the gear that you require. However to bore is 5/32", still too small for your mill.

You will have to hold it carefully, drill it out and ream it 3/16". If that is not possible then HPC could probably machine it to 3/16" bore. Try contacting them, but it will cost more.

                    Regards. Mike Potts

HPC will increase the bore and/or add keyways to any of their gears. They do charge for this (quite reaonably).

Where are you Antony? I can make that gear but I have no idea if it's been made long-addendum so having the parts to offer up would be beneficial
