I have a Bantam VS on which the speed readout sometimes works sometimes just show zeros. The rheostat has no effect. It has been suggested that the capacitor have probably gone down on the PCB.
Can anybody help or suggest somebody to repair it?
Can a moderator put the spelling mistake right as it might get overlooked by a potential helper.
Done.
As to Norm’s problem, intermittent operation is often due to a loose connection, so check them and the wiring. Also make sure the sensor on the spindle is clean and correctly aligned.
Check the PCB (PWB to be technically correct) for dry joints, some joints on modern electroniks crack due to the stupidity of ‘those that know’ to eliminate Lead in solders, and we won’t even start on non Cadmium Silver Solders!
