      Thanks for the suggestion; I’ve looked at plastic matting but not specifically duckboards. My workshop is pretty crowded so I think duckboards would definitely be a trip hazard. I use squares of surplus 1/2″ thick rubber sheet to get around the problem of standing on cold concrete. At the moment it is just too cold to be in the workshop. Not so much the air temperature but as soon as you touch a machine tool it sucks all the heat from your hand (I have small hands) and ones fingers go numb.

      We have drifted off topic a bit, but that’s the joy of threads, you never know where they are going to lead.
