A little while back I posted a query on the scale loco page but there was no response. I wonder if I will have better luck here!.
Iam wondering if there are any reasons why,on a 31/2 in gauge “Linda” boiler, instead of siting the injector feed clack on the lower outside of the boiler, it could be sited either on the backhead or on the wrapper. I see that on the Hatfield drg -recently re-published , there is provision for such an arrangement.
Where should a feed clack be sited in relation to the normal water level? Is the vicinity of the firebox too hot?…….?
