      Hi all.

Wayne here from Manchester. Love faffing with this and that. Love my boating and so cant wait to next year to launch the new to me boat. I got lazy on my last project so get one ready to go. Well near enough just few things to do to suit our needs or wants. Like them cheapo diesel heaters and rewire etc.

Anyway my reason to be here is that i think its time i got started to make something interesting as i spent a year getting te main gear together. I still need a few bits like a surface plate and gauges and decent tooling.

The shed, i know it in need of a tidy…………..again

My pride of the lot. I have used it a few times now but noting serious yet. I just set the belts up to get 1600rpm at 50hz on the VFD.

This i the gear i got with it. Not a clue fit here any good. Some cutter are blunt/burned out. Bottom left i havnt a clue what there for ?

Also the lathe. done more with this, bits for work as in make a new roller for there conveyor. and this for my saw.

And this for work for grinding back all the dam legs that have welded caps on. The lads used to do it by hand. Lot easier now.

I am trying to think what to make next. I have looked on Hemingways website at the knurling tools and te Aero V8, bit more experiance needed for that haha

I defo think i need to make  anew tool holder though. Its a pain with one

Got all gearing and these with it

All sort of gubbins to mess with and sort out. Need to keep an eye out for a good draw system for it all to be organised better.

So thats me and the shed ready to go. As said need to tidy up a bit. Maybe tomorrow night ill fire up the burner and get it toasty and get cracking.  🙂

Certainly well equipped and lots of room.
The mystery tools are D-bits – a sort of simple reamer and for putting a flat bottom on a blind drilled hole.

Don’t quite understand what the ‘legs’ are for.

Ah, thanks Bazyl for that never seen them before.

The legs are for a stair lift rail support, where i work we build stair lifts i design and make tings to make production easier and safer. so a dogs body i think they call me untill i get a proper rate of pay haha

Hi Howard. well love faffing and love to be tried out. I have neglected the machinery a bit and hang my head in shame. been to busy messing with my boat in time for next year.

If anybody can send a link to a fairly good and easy to go by plans for a quick change tool post post a link please.

Oh darn, near forgot, off to light the stove for tonight 🙂

            happy machining folks 🙂
