Emphasises my point even more. Both that there are two teams/departments or whatever dealing with software issues, and that one team can respond so rapidly!

I would suggest two completely different sets of software, though one might have links to the other.
One relates to this website and forum, the other is the marketing database and/or magazine subscriptions.

I fully understand the vastly different levels of complexity between the two software systems, what surprised me was the rapid attending to one problem and not to another.
Even more poignant is that Mortons then communicated to us that they had fixed it!
In the several months since the old forum was shut down there have been precious few (3 or maybe 4) posts on here from Mortons acknowledging this forums problems.
Even though I do not know much about website design I would hazard a guess that hiding the Captcha and Cookie icons is no more than a few keypresses. Granted they are minor annoyances rather than massive problems as a mere participant its baffling that its not been attended to, it did create quite a flurry at the time but its all gone quiet now so they don’t need to bother I suppose.
