Home › Forums › General Questions › Anybody made the Les Chenery Gypsy engine
I have just made the valves for this engine and they appear to be too short.
I have checked the plans and the dimensions I used seem correct so maybe
the plans are at fault.
Just wandered if anybody can remember having an issue making this engine.
Does seem short doing the maths.
Have you checked to see where they come in relation to the rocker arms as they would show if it is the valves being too short or the top of the guides too long.
You could ask over on MEM and hope Mike Cole sees the thread.
I am just starting the Rocker posts this morning , like you say it will give me an indication of
valve length when i fit them.
I sent Mike a private message through MEM but got no reply so i thought i would try here.
