          Apologies for being blunt, Andre, but It has the appearance of being clickbait nonsense – it'd be helpful if you indicated the links were to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness 'news' page, and a Youtube channel which superficially appears to be devoted to passing off sensationalist pseudo-scientific conspiracy theory as if it were fact.

          Sorry to be rude, but I really do not want any interaction at all with either the ISKC, or 'Top Stories'..

          Spherical carbonate concretions are a recognised geological phenomenon, and a number of articles relating to them are to be found – here's a sample;

          Nature.com – Articles – Generalized conditions of spherical carbonate..

            Just because it is on the internet, does not make it true.

            Just look at the number of YouTube videos on perpetual motion machines.

            People in general are far too willing to believe anything.

            Question everthing if you want to get to the truth.

            It's a new year, but all the old scams are still out there and people are still falling for them, despite the publicity surrounding them.

            Stay safe, trust no one, question everthing.

                Thanks to Diogenes for saving me the trouble of looking up those links!

                When I saw the thread title,it brought to mind things I've wondered about with the Antikythera Mechanism – where are its antecedents and copies? It's like finding the remains of a Mondeo where there's no trace of anything like an Austin 7 or a Model T.

                  Must be right cos in Star trek Mr Checkov could always point to the fact, whatever had its origins in Russia.

                  Regards Ian.

                    Mick, that is a very good question.

                    I have my doubts (expressed before). Just because a large part of the archeology community believe in it does not prevent it from being a hoax. Many want such things to fit their theories. It was once said of an academic that he would construct a whole civilisation from a chamber pot found in the Balkans.

                      That fits in with my theory that Stonehenge was built as an out-of-town shopping mall but its success didn't justify putting the roof on.

                        Oh,, and here's me thinking Stonehenge was the pitch for the Druidic game of Gadget Crocquet….

                        Anyway no genuine archaeologist would claim finding anything artificial from even 1M years ago.
